He's 48, he's not a player any more, so it was not a
performance-altering substance. He says it was to feel better and
that he's a diabetic.

When you have more facts, come back.

So what? Get a REAL doctor to prescribe it, and the world will revolve
again. You can't just go out and buy any shit you want, based upon your (or
other) experience; it isn't legal. It's not just a sports thing, it's part
of real life. It's the law in this country- like it or not, you need to
comply or change it. He didn't change it, therefore he needs to comply.
It's simple, really. Don't make it harder than it is. Is he challenging
the ruling? NO. He knows what he did was illegal.
You are making the easy (and incorrect) assumption that morals and laws go
hand-in-hand: you are mistaken.

But you're the one pushing the law here.

The rest of us are pushing the morals.

As the world well knows, laws need to be changed, and justice needs to be
tempered with intelligence.

I doubt there is a zero-tolerance law in the nation that hasn't caught up
someone who didn't need to be caught up.

Do you have evidence that he was not advised by his doctor to try the HGH
(again, assuming that's what it was)?

You can't just go out and buy any shit you want, based upon your (or

other) experience; it isn't legal.
Actually, yeah you can. For decades, senior citizens have trekked to the
Mexican border, to camp out in travel trailers to escape the winter weather
in their home states AND to save significant dollars on whatever medications
they required (through legal means) with or without prescriptions from
Mexican pharmacies.

This went on quite nicely for years until the pharmaceuticals began to lobby
that those drugs were unsafe, conveniently forgetting to mention that THEY
made the lion's share of them.

It was during this lobbying effort that the online pharmacies came under
severe scrutiny, and some of them damned well deserved to be investigated.
But, the attempts to prevent Americans from buying their required
medications in a way to save a buck or two pretty much failed.

It's not just a sports thing, it's part

of real life. It's the law in this country- like it or not, you need to

Sigh. What would be the point of challenging a corporate policy with
reasonable argument of fact? This is not a court of law... and it is not an
illegal drug. It is a banned substance, and in other areas of sport, most
notably the Olympics, medical necessity has never been a mitigating factor.

You need to do some boning up on your reading skills, as I'm not so much
defending Wade Wilson as pointing out the fallacy of the Star Chamber
mentality of the anti-drug hysteria we seem to have been laboring under in
recent years. It's gotten to the point where a teenager can't even decide
for herself when she needs a Midol for menstrual cramps without somebody
with or without a medical license deciding it's okay.

No, I fully understand why Wade Wilson's not challenging. There's no point
to it.

then he wouldn't have been suspended; they don't suspend people for

I didn't know what he was taking, and neither did you.

The report now is that it was probably HGH, or human growth hormone,
and steroids. Those are legal when medically prescribed. Trouble is,
he didn't get them from a real doctor. This story says they came from
a pharmacy in Orlando.

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/090207dnspowilson.9002c185.html

Other reports link him to Rodney Harrison, or say that Wilson took or
distributed steroids when he played with the Bears.

My gut feeling is that Wilson had used them and thought they were
helping him. He knew where to get them illegitimately, from past
experience. And since he's not a player, he figured it didn't matter.

I'm not a Jerry Jones fan at all. Regardless, I don't see how Jerry or
the Cowboys are involved.

I think you missed the point. Do you really want NFL coaches acquiring
banned substances? It's very difficult to detect these drugs. If a player is
acquiring them, the assumption is that he's taking them. The last thing the
NFL wants is players being in daily contact with someone who has banned
substances on his person.

As usual, The Cowboy retards dont get it. making excuses for Cowboy players
and now coaches thinking they are above the law. Putting up walls that
everybody sees through. Wilson gets suspended and these Cowboy stooges
start making excuses.

Once AGAIN, Drugs are streaming in and out of the Cowboys Training Camp and

organization is an embarrassment to the NFL and should be investigated from
top to bottom.

He's 48, he's not a player any more, so it was not a
performance-altering substance. He says it was to feel better and
that he's a diabetic.
I think you missed the point. Do you really want NFL coaches acquiring
banned substances?
As usual, The Cowboy retards dont get it. making excuses for Cowboy

Hmm. You didn't care then, and don't care now.

So, what brought on this moral outrage at Wilson? Since you didn't care that
Favre took drugs, what in your life changed where you are now the accuser of
drug users everywhere (except on the packers, of course)

Once again Wallen fills the newgroups with lies. I dont defend illegal
Packer actions, throw the book at them.
Gee, once again, when it's a packer, you say in one sentence "I couldn't
care less about this case", but when it's a cowboy, they can be found not
guilty and you still want to throw the book at them. I suggest you start
worrying more about those packers who shoot off guns at people they don't
like and spend less time worrying about what drugs get taken in Dallas.

Typical packer fan, brain-dead.

By the way, booboo, the semester just started and you've already been taught
more lessons than the rest of the school combined. We're going to have to
raise your tuition, since the internet teacher's union (ITU) says we're
spending most of our time schooling you.

A complete and total embarrassment to the NFL.
Boy, someone's spent a whole lot of time in the crime vaults of Texas. What
happened to the offensive lineman that was stopped and had about 10 pounds
of marijuana and then while he was out on bail awaiting trial got busted
again (sorry, I forgot his name, but it was a couple years ago. Definitely
this decade).
